The Upstate California Economic Development Council, or Upstate California EDC, was founded in 1989 and is California's oldest and largest regional economic development marketing group. As a non-profit California corporation, Upstate California EDC is supported by the pooled resources of thirteen Northern California community-based economic development organizations, the California Trade and Commerce Agency and Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
Our goal is to expose a global audience of business decision-makers to the profit enhancing business opportunities in California's top twenty counties. Assisting companies to build and expand their businesses in the Upstate region of California creates employment, wealth, and a diverse and healthy economy.
The Board of Directors is composed of professional economic development specialists from throughout the region. We are able to offer companies objective data and rationale for their site selection and capacity development decisions. Providing this information professionally, confidentially and without charge or obligation is the hallmark of our association.
